Stay at Tevana House Reef

Tevana is an eco-resort providing all the goodness of Mother Nature — from bath necessities to healthy, organic, fresh food. Built by a family who loves scuba diving and cares for the environment, it incorporates the traditional Phinisi wood building technique — the heritage of Tanjung Bira.

Dorm accommodations

You'll stay in 2-person dorm rooms sharing one bathroom — a maximum of four people per bathroom across our two dorms. Upgrades to private rooms are available. Electricity and 5G Wi-Fi run 24 hours a day.

Weekly schedule

Course workshops and dives run Monday to Friday, starting between 8 and 9 AM with theory, followed by two dives. Saturdays and Sundays are rest days — sleep in, freedive, explore caves, or go where the wind takes you.

During your free time

Join beach clean-ups for a refreshing lemonade, explore local dry and wet caves, or spend more time freediving, paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. On dry days: board games, the local gym, the library, the food market, or a movie.

How to get to Bira

Fly into Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (Makassar) — direct flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Manado run 2–3 hours. From there, our driver takes you the 4–5 hour car ride to Bira.

Dining experience

Tevana Vida, our on-site restaurant, is open 7 AM to 9 PM with a vegan-first menu (meat and fish also available). Breakfast is included daily, and lunch on diving days. Dinners are on you — a good excuse to explore Bira's local food.

No single-use plastic

Please leave single-use plastic at home. Our team cleans the beaches daily, but the fix starts at the source — filtered water dispensers are around the resort for refilling reusable bottles, and the restaurant pours fresh juices, beer, and milk.
